Rating by category:
I loved the location and the way our room was set out. Also the breakfast was lovely.
The hotel is not great - everything's a bit tired and minimalist. Having said that though, the service is friendly and you get what you pay for - and I don't mean that in a derogatory sense. The location is great, the price is right and you go away with the feeling of having had value for money. I will happily stay there again.
Noise in alleyway everyone morning outside window. Noisy pipes in walls of corner of room
Perfect location, close to the shops, bars and restaurants.
Easy to book on line, very efficient service and convenient.
The windows were filthy dirty and looked as if they had been cleaned for years! It really let the place down as everything else was spotless.
The location is superb. Very close to Federation Square.
The room size is quite small but just comfortable for my family.
Place is very central to the city and not far by free city tram from Southern Cross station. Had handy facilities (e.g., microwave, toaster (and bread, butter, etc) kettle, iron and ironing board) I had a side room so was not bothered by noise or lights at night.
all was good
It's central location and excellent room. Friendly & helpful staff.
Location. It was very easy to access everywhere.
Very noisy. Hotel did not repair broken window.
The location was just excellent and despite some of noise in day time (obviously because its right in the middle of cbd) I could sleep very well at night fair tea/coffee facilities and food ware
It doesn't have parking and as it's advertised it'll cost you 16$ / day (if you take the car out of parking only once a day, otherwise you will get a new ticket for every time you take the car in and out) extra
Location to train station was great
The noise - seemed to be able to hear every noise out on the street.
The convenience to Federation Square, city shopping & Railway Station.
Previous stays enjoyed a view over Swanston St. This time had no view and a smaller room.
We enjoyed the fact it was in the heart of the CBD and never had to walk far. Also enjoyed the fact it had a fridge in the room with tea/coffee and toast making facilities.
Bathroom could do with a paint job, and the water pressure in the shower was non existent.
The price is excellent.
Reception not open 24x7
Convenience to city centre
My booking was advertised as a Deluxe Double room with a bath in the ensuite on arrival the booking was a corporate double room without the bath in ensuite. With the room being so close to the next building behind, the lights from this building were constant in our room at night. Block out curtains are required in these rooms. Didn't think it value for money.
